Approximately 17,1 kilometres east of Chania and 17,3 kilometres from Souda port, is the small sandy beach of Marathi (southern coast of the peninsula of Akrotiri), well protected and unaffected by the ” winds ” ( northern summer winds ).
The beach is very popular and frequented much because of the shallow water, which is ideal for small children. Some restaurants, taverns and cafes offer food and drink. Υou can also visit the Loutraki beach which is within walking distance.
