The SYN.P.E (partnership) \u201cHERMES\u201d is located in Chania 38Mournion Avenue. It was founded in February 1982 by about 20 colleagues who had a vision for a better taxi transport and thus RADIO TAXI under the name \u2018HERMES\u2019 came about.<\/p>

Using then wireless technology which was revolutionary for the era (initially a CB and then a VHF), simple phones ( having two primary telephone lines) and only having two telephone operatoes at the telephone center , were constantly trying with success to improve their job and services. Due to the limited capabilities of the cars of that era and generally the lack of facilities and equipment , the services provided to passengers of Chania were limited to simple transfers , which of course (for the time) did not cease to be innovative . As the years passed and progressed the members and olleagues of Radio Taxi \u201cHERMES \u201c also increased as did the needs of services that had to be provided to our fellow citizens of Chania.<\/p>

So about six years ago the Radio Taxi Hermes was upgraded from its limited partnership, while keeping the same well known name \u2018HERMES\u2019. As we were once pioneers in our service we still thus remain today as we are always keeping up to date with new technology and adapting it to our services and facilities. By means of digital technology and the internet we have changed the management and organization of our service. The corporation Radio taxi \u201cHermes\u201d is one of the oldest and experienced in public transport in Greece, and one of the first and few who have moved to modern digital technology in the last three years, thus improving its services. It consists of 150 new clean cars of all types such as VIP, Diversity, Hybrid etc. and approximately 270 professional qualified drivers who can take you safely to any destination in Crete, but also provide you a tour of the island in any language that you request for example English, French, German, Russian etc. The corporate offices are staffed by seven well- trained employees with extensive experience of which 2 are in the accounts department and 5 are telephone operators ready to serve you 24 hours a day, on one of the approximately 25 telephone lines, which are used to assist the traveling public the cooperative or by Fax and email.<\/p>
